Willow Pond Awakening: Sanctuary Renewal in 2026

Posted by Lisa Loucks-Christenson on

Dawn breaks over the Laurie (Loucks') Burt Wildlife Sanctuary, my private NWF-certified haven in Olmsted County, Minnesota—a living tribute to sister Laurie Sue Burt (d. 2011). Today launches Oak Savanna Winds: Blue Lupine, my 2026-2027 documentary/book capturing this oak savanna's transformation.

Blue lupine blooms sustain Karner blues (first sighted 2025), tiger swallowtails, fritillaries, silk moths; 50+ tagged oaks shelter hawks, owls, eagles. New Willow Pond fills the scar from forced pet exhumations (court fraud), under Laurie's memorial willow—joining thriving Deck Pond and Pool Pond with dragonflies, damselflies, millions of insects. Self-funded by Loucks-Christenson Publishing hits like Wolves of Whitewater Falls™ and Hallowink Hollow™ (25+ books), it stars in Wildly Personable Show™ Vol. 2.

From grief to grace—small seeds ripple to feed thousands. Follow at peacockbookswildlifeart.com.
