Gorilla Glue Tacky Strips Review

11/26/2022: Lisa's WINTER BUGS Exhibit fell to the ground after using Gorilla Glue tacky strips, causing her to go purchase new tabs, take down all fifty prints, and remount every print with the new product. The Gorilla glue strips had not held their grip for 12 hours.
Time Loss: 9 hours, I had to do this on our busiest Small Business Saturday, because my investment and time using an inferior product caused my exhibit to crash.
Cost for new tabs, different brand: $27 plus tax, purchased locally.
Will not use Gorilla Glue Tabs for anything but temporary posters. They may hold those, but never with just the pre-cut size. I have always had to use four times that amount. They don't stick well, and you have to roll them up and heat them in your hands to get them to work at all. There are better brands, experiment until you find one that works for your exhibits and projects.
These are the actual prints as I found them early Small Business Saturday, on the floor, but lucky for me, none of the glass was broken, some of the frames were broken but I repaired them. You can see the heavy amount of stips/tabs I had to use--just to get them to stick at all on the side of a wooden book case. These are not heavy frames at all.
Gorilla Glue if you want to come to my store and put your strips/tabs to the challenge, I will give you that chance with my DON'T EAT BEES! Exhibit opening in April. That give you several months to fix your product and prepare it for the long haul. Maybe this failure will inspire you to achieve a better product. I hope so. I love you glues.
I used a few brands of tacky strips, tabs, dots to hang my WINTER BUGS documentary up.
Sadly, the Gorilla Glue tabs didn't hold, even a light frame with no glass. Nine pictures were on the floor by morning, using four times the pre-cut tabs, for each corner of the frame.
Luckily, no glass broke, but I won't be using these strips, with pre-cut tabs again. Maybe blending them with another manufacturer, I can, on a future exhibit, find something that holds.
Sorry Gorilla Glue, I love your glue, but the tabs didn't work--this time.
